Public transport does not go to Lovćen National Park. With your own car, you can conquer the famous 25-serpentine road, visit the birthplace of Petar II Petrović Njegoš in Njeguši, and reach the breathtaking viewpoint at the Mausoleum.
Spend as much time as you want at the top. Watch the sunset over the Bay of Kotor from 1660m above sea level. No rushed tours, no waiting for others.
Rent a car from just €25 per day. We recommend an SUV for the mountain roads, but our compact cars are also capable. The experience is priceless.
Lovćen National Park is the heart of Montenegro, giving the country its name — Black Mountain. It's a stunning limestone massif with dramatic landscapes, deep canyons, and the legendary Njegoš Mausoleum at the very top.
Must-see places: The Njegoš Mausoleum (amazing views!), the old royal capital of Cetinje, the authentic village of Njeguši (famous for prosciutto and cheese), the beautiful mountain meadow Ivanova Korita, and the challenging hiking trails.
The serpentine road from Kotor to Lovćen is an attraction in itself — 25 hairpin turns with stunning views of the Bay. Having your own car allows you to stop at any viewpoint for that perfect photo.
All locations require a car — ask us about road conditions and the best times to visit.

Rent a car MontenegroYou need a valid driver's license (held for at least 2 years), a passport or ID card, and a credit card for the security deposit. International drivers may use their national license (if in Latin script) or an International Driving Permit.
The main road to the Mausoleum is paved and well-maintained, so a regular car is fine. However, an SUV offers more comfort and power on the steeper sections. We have both options available. In winter, snow chains might be necessary — we can advise and provide them.
The Kotor-Lovćen road has 25 tight turns and is steep, but it's a normal paved road. Drive carefully, use lower gears, and enjoy the incredible views. It's an experience in itself! We recommend starting early to avoid tour buses.
Absolutely! A classic day trip is from Kotor up to Lovćen, then down to Cetinje (the old capital) and back via the coast or Njeguši. Or you can go from Budva to Cetinje and then to Lovćen. With a car, the possibilities are endless.
